Hey, readers. We’re writing to share our good news!
The ABC has been awarded a consultancy grant from the Community of Literary Magazines and Presses. The funds will be used to redesign our website. We’ll be working with Bit Source of Pikeville, KY. Look for the new design to be implemented in late summer or early fall.
We’re teaming up with the Bluegrass Writers Studio low-residency MFA program at Eastern Kentucky University to offer an editorial internship. The internship is open to current students at EKU’s MFA program. We’re accepting applications until June 15.
Both of these developments will help us build capacity to better serve you.
Submissions are still open for our Made In Appalachia chapbook series. This series is for emerging authors with a connection to central Appalachia. We’ve published “Five Little Fatalities” by Emily Unwin and “Rapture” by Kelly Ward, and have more titles in the works. Interested writers can find more details on our Submittable page.
The Appalachia Book Company is a tax-exempt 501c3 organization based in far eastern Kentucky. Donations can be made online. We thank you for your support.
